We worship God by serving each other. Not through charity. But by being in community with one another. By creating loving relationships between really different people.
We think Jesus calls for a different sort of Christianity than what we've got today. Jesus was more interested in how people related to one another than in what we claim to believe.
We're a community center in Summit Lake. Where program recipients become program leaders. And where suburban members become 'resident' in the inner-city.
Relationships require a lot more than weekly church attendance or a bumper sticker. They require personal vulnerability and a willingness to transform yourself. But, at Miller Avenue, that's where worship of God starts.
